Daily Activities
We went to Delco Park today and met with an author, Rob Boley, and an artist, Amy Anderson. They talked to us and had us fill out a worksheet to make our own Metots. A Metot is a mix of 3 animals that is supposed to represent and motivate you. We began by choosing 3 adjectives to describe ourselves and then finding animals that also had those traits. The adjectives I chose were happy, responsible, and smart. The animals to go along were dog, elephant, and pig. We then drew what our Metot would look like.

We were put into a raffle for sharing our Metots, and I ended up winning a signed copy of one of the author's books.
Afterwards, we had time to look around the park. We sat near the pond and watched the geese for awhile, hung out in the shelter, and then played sand volleyball. We also did an activity called Small World, where we observed a square foot of grass in different positions. That was really interesting to me because I don't usually stop and just look at the ground, and I've never really realized how much life there is in just a square foot of grass.
